The Gdańsk Business Incubator STARTER helps to establish and develop micro, small and medium enterprises through minimizing their running costs, supporting them in establishing business relations and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Starter scheme includes:

• service package for entrepreneurs,
• consultancy on legal aspects, tax law, finances, accountancy, marketing,
• training in various fields related to different aspects of economic activity, including obtaining outside funding,
• accountancy service,
• renting out office and warehouse spaces,
• telecommunication infrastructure,
• training and workshops in the field of establishing and managing enterprise.

The beginnings of The Gdańsk Business Incubator STARTER go back to 2005. Economic Policy Department in Gdańsk City Council, the originator of building the Incubator, as well as its applicant, was responsible for preparing project and gaining funds from Regional Operational Programme of Pomeranian Voivodeship. The new location of The Gdańsk Business Incubator STARTER, which will be finalized in the 3rd quarter of 2011, is a modern office building. Its architecture refers to neighbouring buildings of Arkonska Business Park. The total space of the building is over 11,2 thousand square meters. The office space located on overground floors reaches aprox. 6,5 thousand square meters. Members of the Incubator will have at their disposal jointly 132 parking places in underground and overground space.

About 60 percent of the space will be assigned to the startups and companies, which conduct business activity no longer than 3 years. There will be a possibility of benefiting from many facilities, like lower charges during the first period of business activity. In the Incubator’s part of the building approx. 70 new transactors will have a chance to make their first steps in business.

The rest of the space is directed to strategic clients, who will have to pay market rates for rented space. All the income received from that activity will be used to fund start-ups.

The Gdańsk Business Incubator STARTER will offer for rent both single desks in the open space and office space with diverse areas (from 25 to 2155 square meters), which gives a wide range of possible arrangements.

Both the members of the Incubator, and the other companies, will have at their disposal a modern and highly specialized Training and Conference Centre. Rooms will be equipped with computers, Internet, projector, screens, flipcharts and professional sound system. Three fully air-conditioned rooms will provide high quality conditions. Thanks to the extendable partitions, there will be a possibility of combining them in one big room of total space over 170 square meters. There will also be a spacious cafeteria for guests. For clients looking for private space there will be special rooms available for business meetings, consultations, etc.

The Gdańsk Business Incubator STARTER will provide professional consulting in the range of operational and strategic activity, accountancy, and innovative service – Virtual Office, which will provide full secretarial service, access to training rooms, rooms for business meetings, consultations with experts in: law, marketing, accountancy, creating business plans and acquisition funds for carrying out economic activity.
